Funding assistance to implement Lean Production - Round 2 closing soon!

The potential savings from Lean identified in SAWIA’s recently completed pilot program ranged from 2c/L to nearly 15c/L and averaged 7c/L (approximately 9%) across all 6 winery sites that participated.

Limited places in Round 2 funding available now! We are pleased to announce that we now have the opportunity to assist more wineries to work towards implementing Lean to improve their performance in production efficiency.

SAWIA has secured funding from the State government through the Office of Green Industries SA to administer a grants program to assist wineries in implementing Lean production during the 2015-16 financial year. The grants will provide up to two-thirds funding of fees of program-approved consultants to a maximum of $4,000 (excl. GST). 

To be eligible, wineries must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Production principles, or attend a Wine Australia Implement Lean Production workshop, and complete and submit an expression of interest (available here). Submissions close on COB Friday 29 January 2016.
