SAWIA was pleased to learn that the Australian Competition Tribunal has rejected an appeal by SA Power Networks (SAPN) over the decision last year by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) to reject $250 million in costs in the network’s Regulatory Proposal for 2015-2020. SAWIA was in support of the AER’s decision as we believed that SAPN’s proposal could increase electricity prices unreasonably and have a detrimental impact on grape and wine businesses. This decision concurs with the position that SAWIA has held in the interests of our members.
SAWIA will continue to engage with the AER, SA Power Networks and other stakeholders in the interests of our members.
