Nestled among the market gardens
Just north of Adelaide and nestled among some of the finest market gardens in South Australia is the Adelaide Plains wine region. Grapes grown on the Adelaide Plains are used primarily by wineries to create wines you know and love, particularly wineries in the Barossa due to its geographic proximity.
The hot, dry growing conditions in the Adelaide Plains keep disease pressure low. The soil quality is high, supporting strong yields of Chardonnay, Colombard, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
