High altitude elegance
With higher altitudes and cooler temperatures than its the neighbour, the Barossa Valley, the Eden Valley is famous for the elegance of its wines, notably Riesling and Shiraz. Beautifully aromatic and textured, Eden Valley wines tend more towards the 'velvet glove' than the 'iron fist'.
Originally home to the Peramangk people, European settlement of Eden Valley commenced in the 1850s with English and German migrants establishing farms in the region. Many of the current crop Eden Valley wine businesses are descendants of these original settlers.
