The Work Health Safety (WHS) Committee is a standing committee of the association.
Meeting six times a year, the Work Health Safety (WHS) reviews proposed changes to legislation, recommends actions to the Executive Committee, explores industry initiatives and develop tools to assist members with WHS issues at their workplace.
Committee members are representatives from member businesses who have an interest in workplace health and safety related matters and work to provide solutions to industry issues and determine key industry policy on such matters.
Any member is able to put forward agenda items for committee discussion or to nominate their services to the committee. A call for expressions of interest in membership of the committee is undertaken from time to time or members can simply volunteer. Contact us for more information.
Terms of reference and minutes of committee meetings can be accessed here. These minutes are confidential to SAWIA members.
