Where to find SAWIA

Pedestrian access: Walk east along North Terrace towards the Botanic Garden of Adelaide, until it becomes Botanic Road, walk another 200 metres, entry is via Botanic Road.

Vehicle access: Drive along North Terrace until it becomes Botanic Road, at the next intersection turn left into Hackney Road, proceed for 100 metres and enter into a slip lane then into the second car park.

Car parking is limited on site, please also utilise the parking on Plane Tree Drive, Rundle Street and Frome Road.

Brian Smedley

Chief Executive

As Chief Executive, Brian Smedley is responsible for the overall governance and leadership of the association and manages the association's resources and activities to achieve its business goals.

Henrik Wallgren

Business Services Manager

As Business Services Manager, Henrik manages the advice, consultancy, training and advocacy services to the wine industry in relation to industrial relations, human resources, work health and safety, liquor licensing, career development and vocational education and training. 

Zvonko Levak

Business & Workplace Adviser

Zvonko has more than 18 years experience in work health and safety, and specialises in identifying and developing practical measures for improving WHS performance.

Adrian Richards

Business Services Adviser

As Business and Workplace Adviser, Adrian provides advice and assistance to members on industrial relations, human resources management, work health and safety and workers compensation.

Mark Gishen

Environmental & Technical Project Officer

Mark provides “hands-on” management of environmental and technical projects that benefit the association’s members and the wine industry in general. 

Craig MacDonald

Finance Manager

Craig manages the financial, accounting and investment side of the association. With an interest in communications, he is also the editor of the association's newsletter.

Claire Wald

Wine Course & Event Co-ordinator

When SAWIA embraces an initiative to promote wine and wine businesses, Claire will be at the helm coordinating operations and logistics.

Rehnu is first point of contact for members and the public. She manages administration, records and information systems and administration for NWETC wine courses.
