Employing and managing employees can take a lot of time and resources. Whilst obligations can be complex and difficult to navigate, the reality is that employers have significant power to direct employees to behave and work via the use of effective employment policies.
2020 has been a challenging year so far, which has meant that dealing with unsatisfactory performance and attitude, employee grievances, managing leave requests and other issues in the workplace has never been more important.
The Employment Policy Pack and Briefing have been developed to assist wine industry employers by providing them the tools to take control of workplace behaviour. Policy content will include:
Application, evidence requirements in relation to leave and the purposes of different leave entitlements.
Code of Conduct – Bullying and Harassment
Use of mobile phones in the workplace.
Social media usage inside and outside work hours.
Dress and appearance standards.
The actions employers and employees should take when employees have a complaint.
The actions employers should take when an employee is not performing or misbehaving.
Key briefing topics will include:
How to implement Employment Policies in your workplace.
Benefits, limitations and pitfalls of setting expectations.
Core expectations that employers should consider setting.
Interaction with an employer’s WHS system/documentation.
Impact of the JobKeeper scheme on an employer’s ability to set and enforce its expectations.
Pricing includes a USB with the Policy Pack for each participant.
