WSET Enrolments on the Rise

Tuesday, Sep 17, 2019

Global WSET enrolments are at record-high levels with the program an increasingly important wine industry qualification.

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) has continued to grow in relevance as a globally-recognised wine education course with enrolments up 15% in the 2018/19 academic year. As reported by Harpers, this increase represents the highest ever number of candidates for WSET with over 100,000 candidates across 75 countries.

SAWIA is proud to offer the WSET to our members and past students at a discounted rate. This was implemented to help our members gain a competitive advantage through better educated staff while also offering our past students new pathways into the wine industry. The courses are held at the National Wine Centre with WSET content delivered by TAFE SA, led by world-class wine educator Gill Gordon-Smith.

Our next course starts Monday October 14th 2019 and will be a condensed version conducted over four full days from 10am-4pm October 14th and 28th, November 4th and 11th. More information and online bookings are available here – SAWIA members and past students can book for $870 per student, a saving of $50.

Don’t get left behind in the wine education stakes. Better educated staff, better sales.
