The Federal Government released a Green Paper on its proposed Emissions Reduction Fund in December last year, which is proposed to be a key plank in the government’s Direct Action Policy.  In a submission in response to the paper, SAWIA argued that the fund was unlikely to be accessible to the wine industry, and would not provide much incentive for the wine industry to engage in contributing its share towards greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
