SAWIA RESPONDS TO THE STATE ENERGY SECURITY TARGET PLAN

The South Australian government released the SA Energy Plan earlier this year to give greater local control over our energy security. The government recently sought feedback on one of the six elements of the Plan, being the introduction of an Energy Security Target that will require more locally-generated, cleaner and more secure energy to be used in South Australia. SAWIA has provided feedback highlighting its view that the impacts of these measures on electricity costs is not clear, and that SAWIA is seeking to engage directly with the relevant government departments.
