Wine Award no meal break penalty - Update

Due to the recent review and update of the Wine Industry Award by the Fair Work Commission, the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) has changed its interpretation of the working through meal breaks penalty.

The change essentially means that the 150% penalty is payable on whatever rate of pay applied immediately before the meal break was due until the meal break is given. 

This in a number of scenarios will mean that a penalty will be applied/multiplied on top of another penalty, which is not how most other penalties in the Wine Industry Award work.
